Summer Preparation

This summer is leading up to me studying abroad in Berlin, Germany for more than 4 months! It is going to be quite an experience going out of the United States, having never done so, and being submersed in German culture for so long.

I realized today that I will be arriving in the summer, August 12, 2008, and will be able to experience the summer weather, autumn, Oktoberfest in Munich, winter, and the old European Christmas decor throughout the city before I leave, December 22, 2008! I will also be traveling to the Netherlands for independent study research. How enthralled am I!? Very.

I'm going to be using this blog as a way to communicate to family and friends back home and will be making posts throughout my experience there. More to come as I prepare for the trip this summer!
